1. Fear God

A woman who fears the Lord shall be praised (Proverbs 31:14) and we see her husband and children praising her in Proverbs 31:28-29.

Therefore fear the Lord by deciding to do the right thing in His sight so that you do not sin against Him since The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of God is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)

To know God you have to schedule time to pray and read your Bible each day so that you can listen as He speaks to you through His word and in response to your prayers.

Soaking your mind with God’s word will help you discern what He would like you to do in each and every situation you encounter in your life. Choosing to respond to situations “God’s way” will also help you make wise decisions that will impact your life positively.

2. Strengthen Yourself

The Proverbs 31 Woman does not rely on others to bolster her emotionally or physically because She girds herself with strength and strengthens her arms. (Proverbs 31:17)

Therefore strengthen yourself mentally and emotionally in the Lord like David encouraged himself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6) when he had no one to support him as his wives had been kidnapped and his men wanted to stone him.

To strengthen yourself mentally and emotionally and encourage yourself in the Lord, remind yourself of all the situations when God helped you deal with challenges and believe that the God who helped you yesterday is still able to help you today.

David powerfully expressed this principle when he faced Goliath for he declared that The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine. (1 Samuel 17:37)
